The biblical accounts of conversion are windows through which one may observe the sovereign God as He carries out His saving purpose in the lives of sinful people.  Conversion pertains to the stories of real people interwoven with the story of a redeeming God.  The principle of conversion transcends both religion and culture, and offers some substance to the relativistic fluff of our times.  It is a larger concept than baptism.  It entails more than church affiliation or even reformation of life.  It consists of more than a series of “steps” toward salvation.  It is higher and holier than legalism.  It is more about God than man.

“This book’s value is Peek’s comments on the current religious scene, where his critical insight and considerable wit address contemporary issues with honest and bold analysis.”
--Clarence Richmond

“The church exists to seek and save the lost.  Tragically, the church is doing everything except that.  Peek calls us back to conversion, to God.  Every preacher/elder needs to read this book!”
--Charles Hodge

“If you are interested in pabulum theology or ear tickling stories, this book is not for you.  Regardless of how you classify yourself – liberal or conservative – this book will cause you to think and dig deeper into the Bible.”
--Dr. J.J. Turner

  • “Apart from the Holy Spirit, scripture would have prose, proverbs, and precepts – but no power.”
